Caribbean Exotics has been involved in professional innovation and research projects. We are committed to activities in science, technology and innovation as a strategy for competitiveness.
Since the early 90s, the company has been in the search for greater knowledge about exotic fruits, from agricultural production through the different steps of the process and all the way to the markets. For this reason, we have invested time and resources in the development of professional research and innovation projects, in association with universities, research centers and the State. Among them are the following:
"The behavior of mixed fruits loads in refrigerated containers"
"Integrated management of pests and diseases affecting the crop of Cape Gooseberry to ensure the quality of the fruit during post-harvest and storage" (IPM)"
"Competitiveness assurance for the export of Cape Gooseberry through the implementation of BPA, with an emphasis on reasonable management of agrochemicals"
"Commercial Assessment of the USDA-APHIS Quarantine Treatment With Cold T107-A on quality of the cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana L.) for Colombia in the framework of WFP, Orlando Florida"
"Study of Cape Gooseberry shelf life and packaging testing in modified atmospheres"
"Implementation of the EUREP-GAP protocol and certification of 30 small Cape Gooseberry growers in Eastern Antioquia"
