TREE TOMATO. Also known as Tamarillo, it is an oval-shaped fruit, with bright red/orange or red/purple  skin. The flesh is juicy, red/orange and it contains small, flat coffee/black colored edible seeds. Its flavor is slightly sour. Its skin is not edible.

PREPARATION

The tamarillo is suitable for consumption when the fruit feels slightly soft. Unripe fruits may ripen later on at room temperature. To consume the fruit, divide it into halves and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. To sweeten it, you can add a little sugar.  The tamarillo is used to prepare juices, salads, sauces, ice creams and desserts
