Unlike common bananas, baby bananas grow in regions with moderate climate, between 1,000 and 1,500 MASL. Bananitos are known for their delicious taste, much sweeter than common bananas. Baby bananas does not grow from a seed, but from a bulb or rhizome and require 9 to 12 months from planting to harvesting. The banana flower appears in the sixth or seventh month. Unlike fruits like apples that have a growing season, bananas are available throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>Banana plants thrive in tropical regions with an average temperature of 27\u00b0C and an annual rainfall between 2,000 and 2,500 mm. Most exported bananas are grown within 30\u00b0 of the equator.
